Garreyn posted... RE4 was quickly ported over to the PS2 when they realized they actually had something. That's when the RE4 praise really picked up. Before then it was just your usual reviewers spewing the usual garbage. PS2 release solidified it as a great game. I'm sure opinions of RE0 would be a little higher if more than twenty people who actually bought Gamecubes would have got the chance.
the heck are you talking about, everyone knew RE4 was fucking golden the second it came out. I was there during the hype and all the backlash from the dev cycle, RE4 was bombastic.
