Don't pick the turtle its the worst one and you can catch one like halfway through the game, the other two are endgame.
I enjoyed my time in temtem but its got to many issues to be a consistent game. Money is super tight, don't spend anything if you can help it. You can only make a little money every day though delivering mail. Dojo(gym) rematches require competitive teams are limited to one win per week.
The "battle frontier" is the worst because even once you have everything you only get one free run of each facility per week. Have to pay to use it otherwise. Once you/'ve hit the cap for money the only way to make more is to breed good mons and sell them auction.
