Mizznox posted... So it sounds like it hasn't been seen to be a notable issue in model years 2012 and newer? 80k-ish miles is what I always heard as the expected time where head gasket issues start popping up, so there'd be plenty past that mark by now.
I had a '09 WRX that ran flawlessly up to ~200k miles at which time I lost compression on a cylinder, probably the gasket, didn't fix it and just sold it.
Also had an '06 STI that I got up to ~100k and had no problems whatsoever, it drove like a dream... a screaming bat out of hell dream, but a dream nonetheless.
Just a little anecdotal fuel to throw on the reliability fire.
