Fair enough, I should've mentioned that I live in North County so most of my picks aren't in the city proper, but FWIW you can get from downtown to just about anywhere in the county within ~30 minutes outside of rush hour.
Also most of SD's good beer is north of Kearny/Claremont Mesa, to get the great stuff you gotta go the distance!
