Admittedly, I should have said some of rather than a lot of - I misworded my statement. But he has had definite stances that are aligned more with the democrats than the republicans, with some being as recent as his campaign:
Was formerly pro choice
Was formerly pro LBGT on some issues, including allowing members of the community to serve in the military (he never did comment on allowing gay marriage though, as far as I remember)
Wanted to allocate big spending towards widespread infrastructure improvements
Back in 1999, he talked about how taxing citizens with over $10 million a bit more could solve a lot of budget issues
