I recently learned that I no longer produce lactase. All this time I thought coffee was making me sick and so I avoided it, but it was the milk I put in it.
I've since started drinking black coffee most days and I've been fine. I also take lactase tablets when I have dairy because fuck giving up milk. It's great.
