I recently rewatched the Pokemon League episodes from season one after 20 years and damn they're still so good. The way they wrote that whole arc was damn near perfect. Plus the way they ended it where they played the full theme over highlights of the matches was such a great conclusion.

I watched it for a few more seasons after that but definitely think they peaked with that arc.
