Woman here, so I like to think Im at least alright with women.
- Being generally clean is nice. Invest in a good deodorant and have a subtle cologne if youre going to go on a date, and a little goes a long way. You can get decent ones at Sephora or Bath and Body Works. Also brush those teeth! So many dudes seem to ignore that and its not appealing to have stinky breath for anyone.
- Have some good fashion! Its not super important but it helps and its nice to have an outfit complemented on. Things like Stitchfix are good since they have people that can help you figure out your style pretty effectively. You dont need super expensive stuff and not every girl wants some dude in an Armani suit. Just wear what you feel fits your frame and general aesthetic.
- Dont focus too much on her or yourself. Youre on a date to get to know each other. Let the conversation go back and forth. Ask her about her hobbies and things she does with her friends. Ask if she wants to do those things with you. Some of my favourite dates tend to be when were doing something both of us can enjoy. Its okay if its just dinner and bowling or whatever. Explore each other as people and go from there. Dont be nervous. Dont put her on a pedestal. That just feels weird and not great because you wont let yourself relate to her.
