Short answer: No, it's shit.

Long answer: Using the monster summoned by this card as Xyz material (and only Xyz material, not for any other type of summon) doesn't count as the monster "leaving the field", so it bypasses the negative drawback of this card and could maybe be useful in that sense. But if the opponent has a quick effect that can destroy the monster before you can use it as Xyz material (which they likely will because this is a trap card that you have to set and wait a turn to use) then you lose on the spot, so it's far too risky to ever be worth using. In other words: No, it's shit.
