TC: may be too late to help, but I had a tooth pulled a couple months ago. Naturally, I was worried about getting a dry socket.

I ended up, daily, soaking a bit of gauze in coconut oil and sorta biting down on it over the hole.

Pain didn't last more than 2 or 3 days, no dry socket.
Going back to get the other bad--way worse--tooth out soon.
