As someone who often stands up for the cops, this was wrong. That man was handcuffed facedown on the ground. If you can't restrain someone that incapacitated without putting the weight of your body on the back/side of their neck then you're in the wrong line of work.
The neck artery is near the front side of the neck, not the back. There is an artery on each side. A knee to the back of the neck cannot complete restrict blood flow. It cannot completely restrict airflow. The position is not ideal for cutting off either.
Floyd wasn't slammed to ground either. There is no video of it. There is video of him falling to the ground by himself. His body was giving way before he was on the ground.
And still, nobody can explain why he his stomach is hurting. Why his body is hurting and why he said he couldn't get up if he was let go.
