ah well a lot of my complains are about Afterbirth+/ Repentence. Afterbirth+ added Hush (actually he might be Afterbirth) and Delirium are so painful and Delirium has some of the worst inescapable damage
Then Repentence nerfed so many good items, made shops pointless and added Hyper Armor to a couple of boss fights.
I dont think its a bad game but its by far the worst Roguelike Ive played
I tried Isaac for a while when Wrath of the Lamb came out and just couldn't get into it after like 10 runs. I picked up Repentance and now I have ~150 hours and LOVE it. I know that they nerfed a lot of ways to get overpowered, but I love all of the item synergies and interactions. I remember reading that before Repentance hard mode was just what people ran all the time, and Repentance made hard mode legitimately nasty, and a lot of people were upset they couldn't do runs on hard mode regularly anymore. I've only touched hard mode for some of the unlocks so far.
