honestly, it feels like people have forgotten how tv works in general. they don't seem to want any world building, or slow burn stories at all. every episode has to be beginning middle and end, and simultaneously intricately connected to a massive overarching plot.
I find this very disingenuous. I'm not a hard critic of Boba, I enjoy it even if some things do bother me. But as for your point, I watched the pilot episode of Justified the other day and in that single episode it set up the main character as typically how I'd expect a good-guy version of Boba to be and ironically in just a handful of episodes (if even that) had accomplished everything you suggest is... I'm not sure, asking too much?
