That is true, but I don't know if she defaults to already knowing it. I assume she does because it's an important skill, though.

She could just be playing the Japanese translations! Chiaki might have her own opinions on subs vs dubs.

Great question, I would assume most Japanese gamers who learn English do it for non-gaming reasons, unlike American gamers learning Japanese.
