I watched a video of professionals demonstrating emergency one-handed pistol reloads.

They employed two primary techniques:

1) Dropping the magazine, holstering the pistol, loading a new magazine into the pistol while it is holstered then taking it out.

2) Bending down on one knee and wedging the pistol in the inside of your knee and putting a magazine in.

The first technique seems a bit slow. But the second one I really don't like. I feel bending down on one knee will literally make you a sitting target.

How about adjusting your grip so you are holding the base of the handle. This will allow you to grab a magazine and put it partially into the magazine base, then reload it by pushing it against your chest? Seems to work out on paper.
