I can't recommend a good smart watch enough. And by "good" I mean something that has good battery life (minimum week between charges, some go up to a month), reasonable price (plenty available for under $100), and an always-on display so that it can actually be used as a fucking watch.

I've had a Pebble Time Steel for a few years now and it's done wonders to keep me off of my phone all the time while still being able to get emails and messages as soon as they come in. I can just glance at my wrist and move on with my life without feeling like I need to stay attached to the phone. It also keeps me from pulling out my phone in front of people, even if only to check the time.

Unfortunately, this one needs to be replaced (official support ended when FitBit bought out Pebble), but the Amazfit Bip seems to be the current preferred replacement. I can't see myself going back to not having one, though.
