Blue Island Airlines ceased operations and there are rumors Ubisoft might be done. Everyday I look at the news I see a company is going out of business.

Well, good riddance to bad rubbish with Ubisoft.

everything is consolidating under fewer and fewer corporations.

There's multiple problems, but one of them (and not sure if this applies to the specific companies being talked about here, but it certainly applies to a lot of companies) is prioritizing short term gains over long term sustainability.

Rich people getting super rich. I first paid attention to this when Walmarts started spreading all over America, ending mom and pop stores as well as other large retail chains. I'm surprised Target survived.

walmart employs 1.5mil americans, amazon 1.1mil. they raise those statistics every time people bring up all the businesses they've killed but refuse to acknowledge that they've killed off at least that many jobs and replaced them with ones that largely make minimum wage with a majority of its workers requiring social services like SNAP just to keep food on the table.

and each year the owners grow their wealth by billions...
