While I enjoyed Cavill when he got to have fun with the role (which given that it was Snyder was basically never), he didn't hold a candle to Corenswet. archizzy 10/23/25 5:06:21 PM #14:	I'm admittedly probably super biased but it was always be Christopher Reeve to me. He just straight up encapsulates my idea of Superman. I'm not a comic expert by any means but from what I have seen Reeve really did seem to make that come to life. But I haven't read a single one so I can only comment on the visuals. Still the only two Superman movies I truly enjoy come from him. Not to derail the topic but I had mentioned my hesitation about the new movie as I seem to have "opposite" experiences often when it comes to games and movies. Many times when people overwhelmingly like or dislike something I seem to have the opposite experience. I saw that new movie getting so much universal praise I was thinking "uh oh here we go" So yeah I didn't want to make a topic just to trash on something because that is just not my thing but man I thought that was a really poor movie. Out of the modern flicks I enjoy Man of Steel in 2013 more than this 2025 movie. I thought this 2025 was just flat out bad across the board and wanted that movie to be over by the halfway point and with 20 minutes left I damn near just stopped watching.
