Capcom has been diligently releasing old games on eShop, Steam, XBLA, and PSN in the digital storefront era for the past two decades. This is a smokescreen and there's probably some other reason they were giving GoG a hard time like they wanted a bigger cut, or they wanted the remakes to be the easiest available jumping-in point for the franchise if someone wanted to start at the "first game", or something.

I'm not buying the given reason.

They have given legacy games like Darkstalkers, Street Fighter, Mega Man, Final Fight, Marvel Vs Capcom, Dino Crisis, Breath of Fire, Captain Commando and a ton of others either a digital release or put them in a specialized bundle over the past few years.

Capcom has a history beyond that of throwing old games in compilations or porting them since for freaking ever.

They are bullshitting with this "no one wants old games" speak when they are constantly revisiting their library and releasing them every generation.

Wish Xbox would get Dino Crisis

I am genuinely surprised the xbox does not have access to those old RE games and dino crisis. Capcom/microsoft made sure the older releases like the 360/PS3 era resident evil 4 HD and code veronica remastered is backwards compatible alongside having access to the remastered versions of REmake and RE0, so I figured the og RE games got re-released on the box also.
