Something you watched that is really bad but some element of it keeps it from being the worst thing you have ever seen

I don't watch a lot of bad movies and usually only watch things that are well rated or things I think I'm bound to enjoy. Go easy on me here, my choice is Mad Max 1

I watched it for the first time last year and it hasn't aged well at all. The characters are one dimensional, villains are goofy, dialogue is cheesy. I get it was supposed to be first of stunt work like that but it's hard to put myself in the eyes of a viewer from that era. Also I have watched movies as old, if not older for the first time and ended up loving them.

the unreleased Fantastic Four movie from the 90s

it has real heart and a couple of decent costumes, but the lack of budget works against it in every way you can think of. And I do mean every way.

That Wachowskis film about the space toilet cleaner.

It gets an extra point for making me laugh whenever I type the words 'space toilet cleaner'.

2/10 is harder to think of than 1/10. I checked my letterbox'd and I rarely hand out this score

Specifically a 2/10? I dunno if I can come up with one. 1/10 was hard enough.

I'm sure there's something in the enormous collection of MST3K films I've seen that would qualify, if you give me a minute. Something, perhaps, that wasn't full of bad acting or plot holes or whatever, but was just completely uninteresting.

Perhaps 12 to the Moon?

I know this will ruffle some feathers here, but Spaceballs.

It didn't click with me AT ALL. I thought the opening shot of the ridiculously long ship was conceptually funny, and I did laugh at the teleporting scene. Other than that, I don't think I even chuckled during the rest of the movie.

Also, with the several in-movie references to itself, I can say that more than any other movie I've ever seen, it insists upon itself.

Poltergeist 2015. One of the worst and most unnecessary remakes I've ever seen.

I usually don't make it through movies less than a 5/10.

Apparently I've given this score to exactly one movie on myanimelist which was Aragne: Sign of Vermillion.

it's hard because this is more nuanced than a simple 1

i was thinking the new Fantastic Four movie, but if i had to really get down and put a number to that, i might do a 3

so for this I'll go with Batman v Superman. Two saving graces were granny's peach tea and when batman smashed a toilet on Superman's head

I'll also say The Village is a 2

avatar. brainless plot, forgettable characters, but it looked pretty and is to this day the only movie i've ever thought was worth watching in "3d". oh it also just looks like shit on tv, but if you've got vr its a solid experience.

I watch a lot of bad movies so my scale is for 2 outta 10 is skewed.

I feel like game of thrones season 8 should be a 5/10 but I give it a 1/10

Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Dr. Strange 2

John Wick. The production values were good but holy shit was I bored as hell. Had to start drinking halfway through it.

Sucker Punch. Atrociously bad but that soundtrack was dynamite!

Such a shame as the book was about an 8/10

Slice (2018), it was absolutely horrible.

I thought Dracula Untold was bottom of the barrel grime, but I did at least like the general atmosphere of the film.

And this is probably anime blasphemy but I did not care for Paprika at all. I checked it out because the discourse at the time was "It inspired Inception, but it's better than Inception in every way!" The animation and dream sequences were absolutely exquisite works of art to be sure, so it's not the worst, but as a film I couldn't stand it. I don't even remember what happens other than at one point she yells at a fat guy for "intellectual masturbation". >_>

Rubber
I thought it was going to be a hilariously bad movie
Instead it was just unbelievably boring.
But there are like three funny scenes so it's not the worst movie ever.

I mostly felt the same, it was nowhere near as interesting as Perfect Blue. I'd give it a 5.5/10 for being a visual spectacle

Dragon Evolution fits the bill

Only reason its a 2 and a not a 1 is that the actors for Goku and Bulma briefly date each other in Shamless (US) and I find that very amusing

I find the majority of anime "classic" movies are hyped to hell and not all that good. I also thought Paprika wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
