How have most of your interactions with them gone? Idk I've had some bad some alright.

Haven't had much interaction but I have been pulled over twice for speeding. First time I was given a written warning, second time just a verbal warning. They seem pretty chill.

Only interaction here other than a nod or something walking past them on the sidewalk has been going into the office to get a pistol purchase permit. Was totally fine, 0 questions asked other than the necessary info.

Our country sheriff goes to the same gym as me, couple random conversations he seems ok. Hard to really say from those.

Most cops Ive encountered in Minneapolis have been assholes.

Im not anti cop per se, but we have good and bad ones in our area. Ive had some cops keep myself and buddies of mine out of trouble from time to time (Im white and a few of my friends are mixed race), but Ive had encounters with cops for absolutely no reason other than profiling my friends.

There's a ridiculous YouTube video of cop misconduct in my area so I guess not. Motorcyclist stopped at red light and a cop just comes up and tackles him off his bike as the initial point of conduct, no sirens, verbal commands, warnings, or anything.

My interactions as a white dude in DC? Fine.

Cops here are not alright however.

I can't speak to what they're like off the clock, but their job requires them to not be all right.

I get looked at a lot by them while driving - I assume because I drive a black 2010 Altima with tinted windows in a majority white, majority republican-voting suburb - but when they actually interact with me they start out pleasant, but they tend to get a bit perturbed because I'm not as reverential as they're used to.

I don't interact much with city cops or state troopers outside of when they are helping out with food drives but they all seem pretty chill. The wildlife troopers are pretty cool though, I always like running into them and talking with them.

The officer claims the reason was because he had an obstructed license plate. I'll see if I can find video.
