As someone who stays admittedly stuck in the past on music and pretty much has a hard cutoff right around the year 2000 because I just really started not enjoying basically anything in that early 2000 time frame, actually sometimes even late 90's I think they get too much hate.

Like I'm not a fan at all but if I randomly heard a song on the radio by them I don't think I necessarily need to turn the station. Kind of feel the same way about Creed. Like I get that for many people that probably dislike them just from the aspect that they were very overplayed, not so much that they flat out hate the music but that didn't happen to me as again I kind of just stayed stuck in the past and kept listening to 60's through 90's stuff.

I just think it is very average stuff that doesn't draw me in but I don't necessarily understand the extreme ire they draw. Again I think a number of those bands all fall into that. Doesn't Coldplay get a ton of hate too? I think Godsmack got shit on quite a bit for awhile? While not a fan, I can tolerate a radio play here and there.
