Big shoes to fill, but that groove at the end of the clip, though. I have high hopes for her.

From the clips I've seen, she's a fantastic drummer.

If they were playing in the UK, I'd go see them. And I only really like one of their albums (thanks, trentpac's thread).

I'd love to go to one of the shows but the locations are all quite far away and I bet it's going to be insanely expensive.

Did you try Permanent Waves, Signals, or Grace Under Pressure? Those albums surround the one that you liked. (Moving Pictures) IIRC people were recommending their earlier, more proggy albums.

Permanent Waves and 2112, I did like. But Moving Pictures was the one that really surprised me with how much I enjoyed it.

Neil Peart is the kind of drummer whose shoes are so huge even other really famous and acclaimed drummers would have trouble filling them

However, I think she'll do a good job

(that said, they aren't playing anywhere remotely close to me, so even if I could afford it I was still screwed on that end!)

This, all the cheaper seats sold out immediately. I mean I could spend four digits to see them but I just can't justify it.

She's dope, been following her for about a decade. She did a drum clinic here not long after and I intended to go but regretfully didn't.

Saw the core trio in 2011, row 10 VIP with numbered posters, crewneck shirts, and swag. Was lucky enough to get a lower bowl side stage in today's presale, hoping to get back of floor for another day.

Jusr recently saw The Who in Toronto on their farewell tour. Tom Cochrane opened, and only on the first of two nights, Alex Lifeson came out to play the last four songs. ALSO, the bassist from Red Rider and Tom Cochrane was the original bassist for Rush alongside Alex and original drummer John Rutsey, and that night was 50 years to the day of the first Rush show. Cool coincidence!

Two things.

Its not about mimicking Neil but basically honoring him while bringing her own influence that feels right to the band.

Secondly without knowing a thing about her all you need to know is she had Jeff Becks approval. Anyone complaining on the Internet trying to put their opinion against Jeff Beck is just laughable.

Not to mention Mike Portnoy, one of the most prolific drummers of all time, thinks she's a good fit.
