I do not know how it is humanly possible to be *worse prepared* for another pandemic now than we were in 2020, but that's the case. Court packing. We're not going to start arresting GOP members, and even if we make tangible improvements in people's lives, they're going to still vote GOP. Everything is going to be determined for the rest of our lives by a barely sentient group of fucking idiots in middle America and giving them healthcare isn't going to change that they're racist mouthbreathers who don't share our priorities. Hyper polarization isn't going away. There's no easy fix to it. We saw in 2012 and 2016 people who voted Democrat out of self preservation had their lives improved and felt comfortable enough to go back to voting Republican. the working class, we've seen, cares about grocery prices (and that's about it). They hate immigrants, even the ones who were immigrants themselves. They think trans people are unnatural and they hate any hint of criminal justice reform. Trump is the most corrupt individual imaginable who's pardoned the most corrupt people.
