Im not going to rank them all. A few I havent seen. Ill say this though. As a home theatre junkie I love The Dark Knight even as someone who isnt really big on Batman stuff (though I love the Arkham video games) because the audio is on another level. The LFE in that movie is spectacular.

Also I think The Prestige doesnt get enough attention. Great movie but one of those that is great for a one time watch but totally isnt the same once you have seen it once.

Im not big into sci-fi stuff so stuff people go crazy for like Inception just didnt wow me or resonate with me. Wasnt into Interstellar either.

Memento and The Prestige are excellent.

Oppenheimer is worthy.

Insomnia is underrated. I like Robin Williams playing sinister (see also One Hour Photo) more than I like him doing comedy.

Everything else, I'm indifferent.

It's tough to rank Nolan's movie's because they're mostly 8 to 9.5 out of 10s to me.

Exceptions to that are Dunkirk which I thought was OK. I wouldn't revisit any time soon. And Tenet which I won't rank because I couldn't follow it. I'm generally OK with following non linear, mind bending plots but I didn't understand what was happening here.

It's probably the only genuinely shit Nolan movie. The power gap between his second worst and his worst (Tenet) is supreme and honestly kind of shocking from Nolan at this stage in the game.

Didnt say I dislike Interstellar. I just hated all the scientist praising how Gargantula looked and worked. You would not see it if it wasnt currently sucking in matter. It would happen so fast it would be a flash That matter would be going the speed of light. Anything even close to it would go boom including the ship. Imaging a dirt speck going the speed of light. Yeah.....its a turn your mind off type of movie

It's a really well made, well acted, twisty period thriller.

What's not to love? Well, I'm not the biggest fan of the ending using bullshit fantasy science to pull off the twist , but even that makes sense as a contrast to the prosaic reveal for Bale's character, twins being a very standard plot device.

I guess while I like it, I think many are better. And some of the things that The Prestige did with its tone and atmosphere, intricate plots and non linear narrative, acting and characters were done better in Inception, Interstellar and Oppenheimer.

I guess for me, I see the potential of his film making skill in The Prestige, but he fully realises it later.

With the exception of Tenet. That's clearly a movie where he had free reign and no one questioned him during the writing, direction or editing.

Yeah I have to push back at the "It's a movie, who cares if it makes no sense. How did it make you FEEEEEL!?" there's a grain of truth to that. Suspension of disbelief and pushing drama will always be a thing

But when characters and actions and cause and effect in a movie make no sense then it's much harder to "feel" anything towards it. It effects the viewing experience.

If Connor MacLeod got his head cut off in the 5th scene of Highlander, then the movie just continued and he came back in the next scene with his head back on and it was never explained. It would ruin the entire movie becasue it makes no sense

I respectfully disagree. I get much more out of watching The Prestige than any of the other films you mentioned, and Ive watched it many times and introduced it to many other people.
Outside of The Prestige, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and (to a lesser extent) Memento, I dont feel most of his films are good enough to watch a second time.
