Under a normal timeline, I would've definitely laugh this off as dumb and paranoid bullshit. But it's clear that this dystopian administration is using strong arm/mob style intimidation tactics to threaten/harass/intimidate dissent. Basically they can violate our privacy, looking through our online history, and arrest ANY ONE of us that say anything remotely negative about Dony the turd. And they may also plant false flag/evidence to justify arresting us.

It's frightening that this is looking more and more likely to happen in this country.

This will happen once BLM is designated a terrorist organization.

They're never going to have the manpower to go after everyone. The surveillance state is only practical for getting dirt and info about people already on their radar. It's true that there's all kinds of ways anyone could end up on their radar over nothing, but being afraid that they're omniscient enough to care about every random nobody all at once is what they want.

I have the privilege of favorable appearance in their eyes, and I have been maintaining a level of anonymity online since day 1. I'm about as safe as it gets while not being maga.

That's my concern as well. It'll take decades to undo. And that's if any spineless Dems in Congress are primaried.

If they tell all the Dems in Congress that they can either submit and join the Republican party, or go to prison, I bet 99% would join the fash.

Most of us are soft. The US middle class and up have had it easy since WW2. People will just fold when they realize resisting the fascist government means losing access to things like the internet and amazon next day deliveries, because they've been trained to rely on that shit for decades now.

You sure are, with optimism that gets more delusional with each day. Yes, it will be wonderful, if you somehow turn out to be right. But things only keep getting worse, with any opposition feeling like speedbumps at best.
