I bought 5 packs today, Im not liking them. I was hoping for nice art or the cards showing comic covers. But yeah I didnt like these. They dont look anywhere at all as nice or cool as the Final Fantasy cards to me.

you get such winners as my hologram pigeon card. My card of a bagel, the Average Citizen card,

theres so much cool art and characters, but most the cards are just worthless garbage

also I dont play MtG, but I do like collecting some and the art

The average quality of MtG art has been awful for so long now that I am surprised you like collecting them. Most of them are just mediocre photo edits now. Makes for awful contrast between the real person and the drawn weapons, accessories, etc.

No. If I want cool looking superhero stuff, I will just print it out. I have zero need to collect cards anymore.

Nope. I'm not into Magic and I've got no intention of giving Disney any of my money until they nut the fuck up and reinstate Kimmel.

I dont really care for the set. Does t seem to have the same love behind crafting it like FF did. And its so out flavor for magic compared to other universe beyond sets. Like I dont want to see fkn taxis, bagels and stuff on a magic card

So I take it youre liking the theme? Do you get even expansion and type that comes out?

are you liking these cards? I was really excited then really let down

It does seem like they put more effort into that one than most get these days.

Just looking over the Spider Man set seeing an iconic ability with art that looks like this is pretty disappointing:

I haven't played mtg in years. Always felt it was colossal waste of money. I imagine even more so if you don't actually play.

I'm also not a big fan of these crossover promotion collaborations they have been doing but I guess there's at least heightened interest from a collectors standpoint.

i wasnt even going to collect the set, but everyone I work with decided to get a booster box and a bundle set, so I did too since I play with my coworkers. Just yesterday I picked up a prerelease kit, and between the last two days Ive also purchased three packs.

honestly I like the set, just as I liked the Final Fantasy set. They got me back into the game, which I hadnt played since the 90s.

I'm uh, holding off on Spider man, but I cant knock them, the Final Fantasy set was immaculate, and the recent spaceships and aliens set was well put together as well, with some especially fantastic artwork. HATERS HEAR ME OUT, THERES A BETTER WAY TO PLAY

MTG's Commander format with 4 players is SO much fun. Check this out:

-Everyone starts with double the normal amount of life.

-The deck must be larger than normal at 100 cards required.

-You have a "commander" that is a creature you have in a special place outside your hand to where you always have access to it every single game. This means you can build around some goofy creature you love, like the silly frog deck I just built for Quina, Qu Gourmet from the Final Fantasy set!

-And the best part: besides the basic resources, you can only have ONE of a card in the deck. A stack of 100 wildly varying cards, limits "consistency" and gets you so many fun moments between 4 player craziness.

Think about itttttttt

Commander killed magic. It's also wildly expensive to build properly despite originally being the "kitchen table singleton" format.

Ive got both commander decks mostly built! Pure Spider-Man cards save for a Sol Ring in each deck.
