The trial? Are you sure he didn't say pre-trial conference or something? Does this dude even have an attorney yet? The investigation is still pending. There is no way to expect either side to be prepared to try this case in 2 weeks.

We're not going to hear anything new from the shooter or his lawyers about motive. There's no obligation for that to ever come out and there's no plea deal that's going to be made here.

actually this bit right here suggests that tyler didn't live anywhere else. the neighbor in question was by the parents house, and the usage of "my" strengthens that the roommate was never a roommate, since you'd just say "our" in this situation if you lived together
