The choice wasn't no housing or a 6 story building. Like she said, she had no power to cancel the housing. She could have done nothing and just allowed the 6 story building. Instead she forced it to downsize!! Have some courage here and push back against your constituents. --- Trump is pursuing a chaotic far-right overthrow of existing US government norms and checks and balances, trying to destroy our way of life. ... If you want to know why housing is so expensive, NIMBYism is a big reason.Design review is stupid as hell and is one of the biggest stumbling blocks in getting stuff built in urban areas. Was part of a project that got delayed by at least six months because some lady in the neighborhood didn't like the exterior design of our windows which started a long convoluted process which ended in the project getting canceled ...
