My investments are doing well at a 13% gain... which is a little slower than last year but still good. (it's a total, not annual, so that averages to 6.5%/year)

I have about 50% of my money in savings account and about 50% in investments. Of those investments it's almost all mutual funds except for $1000 which I accidentally put in a "Money Fund" cuz I misclicked.

I have about 90% of my holdings in stocks/bonds, the rest in cash for everyday use and emergencies.

AFAIK the general advice is to keep enough in savings to cover ~6 months of expenses then invest the rest. Roth IRAs have tax advantages over brokerage accounts so ideally you would max your yearly contribution to that first, then put the rest into brokerage investments.

We don't have Roths in Canada, but my googling says they're the same as TSFAs which I do have and is maxed out
