Closest memory I have is other people laughing during DBZ:Battle of the Gods which had been recorded in a theater.
I think the audience reactions really added to the experience.

Yeah, the experience seeing the dragon ball movies in a packed theater is awesome. Me, my brother and sister n' law went to see dragon ball super broly when that came out, and everyone was lmao'in at the segments where frieza "accidentally" got paragus blown up to make broly go SSJ and again when goku and vegeta dipped out to let frieza get his ass beat for like a hour.

Just the fact that we are now in a era where a theater in the united states will be full to damn near capacity for viewing a shonen anime movie in the middle of kind of rural SC is nice.

I'm still waiting on the day when one piece finally gets that real great dragon ball super broly-like quality movie that would get everyone laughing at the straw hat's antics. Film red was more of a musical (and to be honest it wasn't too good plot-wise) and stampede came out in a time that while one piece's popularity in the US was building steam finally it still wasn't at that post wano arc/every other celebrity wearing one piece merch and bringing it even more attention/post really good live action netflix adaption levels of US popularity that its at now to have a ton of people going to the movies for it.

it's so just random and maybe i remember this one the most cause i was the ONLY one laughing at this to the point i had to force myself to shut up about it after laughing in the silent fucking theater for a solid thirty seconds

I feel that man. There was a scene in 'Everything Everywhere All At Once' where the theatre was completely silent, but the scene just made me laugh and my friend and I were the only ones laughing while it was dead silent. The scene was where they turned into rocks

At the end of "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" when Raiden is saying "I'm proud of all of you." He put his hand on Sonya's shoulder and I said, "Except for you." I laughed very loud at my own joke.
