Exactly this.

No way. It's the condiment for fries (unless you're in a country that prefers to dip their fries in mayo for some reason), and it blends well with mustard on hot dogs and mayonnaise on hamburgers.

This exact thing came out a few weeks ago. I admittedly like most kids used ketchup on many things as a kid. Now as an adult Ive simply outgrown it mostly. I have to look for specific no sugar added versions or make it myself otherwise its way too sweet.

The only thing I use it on is I like a little on my hashbrowns still but Ive eliminated it with everything else other than as a base for tomato based BBQ sauce. I really do kind of view it as kid sauce these days. But ultimately I dont care what others do with their food. If you want a well done steak at my house with ketchup on it Ill fix you a well done steak and wont say a word to you about it.

It really is. People should eat what they like at whatever age. Everyone has different tastes and preferences.

I dont really like ketchup at all aside from with with fries, but this weird idea that its meant for children is weird to me. Is there a defining line among condiments for adult and children items?

At some point in my life I had come to the realization that hamburgers are the only thing I put ketchup on.

All condiments and seasonings exist to obscure the flavor of spoiled foods. Thankfully we're not our prehistoric ancestors and we're not just eating spoiled food all the time so we can actually judge condiments and seasonings on their own merits now.

Man, seems the ketchup hate just sprang up out of nowhere a few years ago. I don't doubt that a lot of people dislike it, my dad hates it, but the "discourse" of ketchup hate reminds me of how everyone went around talking about how they loved bacon and needed bacon on everything for awhile. lol

I like Ketchup on a burger or fries, that's about it. But I do find it hilarious it was originally created to mask the taste of possibly spoiled meat. I was an easy going fellow, I wouldn't choose to eat willingly spoiled meat because that was all they had back then but boy things were simpler. Someone had to invent Ketchup, like how about we add some sugar and tomatoes and voila!

I like it on hot dogs too. Prefer it over plain mustard. Yellow mustard is gross to me. There was this era where if you ate a hot dog with ketchup you were considered to still be a kid. I never knew where this thought came from originally.

Strong disagree, eat whatever tastes good to you. Life is too short for dumb arbitrary rules like this.

Agreed. People who dip their fries in mustard or BBQ sauce are just trying too hard to be consistent with their hatred towards ketchup.
