Currently playing the "definitive edition" and now I remember how my interest in the game took a dive after getting to San Fierro. The city itself is fine, lots of ramps/hills to launch your vehicle off of etc but the plot shits the bed to me. I don't care for the characters you meet here and beyond. Never liked Mike Toreno and the flying school bullshit etc. Wu Zi, The Truth....meh. I'm at the horrendous flying school right now and my desire to continue is fading. Los Santos is the best in my opinion. I just want to shoot Ballas and do gangsta shit etc and the game takes you away from that until the end. Spoiler, also what is up with Ryder? You kill him in a boat chase in San Fierro and that's it....his story arc completely fizzles out. Anyway that's my two cents ... Copied to Clipboard!

Flying school is the worst, but passing it is one of the best feelings of relief in all gaming. The fact that you now get an airplane and can finally fly anywhere anytime is icing on the cake. Also the fact that now any you time you enter a plane you get a parachute so you can eject without worrying about landing the plane on solid ground I do love Los Santos starting out as boyz in the hood type story. But I'll always love how video gamey San Andreas is for expanding that into you doing all this crazy awesome stuff like going to military bases, owning casinos, diving to sneak on board ships, so much cool shit. One of my favourite missions is acquiring the harrier jet. Afterwards, I parked a jet in every garage that can hold it. Nothin's more gangsta than a fighter-jet landing in suburbia. Also completing Mike's missions unlocks the most powerful heavy weapons in the game (they spawn at his cabin). --- If you need the threat of eternal damnation to be a good person, you're just a bad person on a leash. ... For me it was Venturas. The country part was a ok, because it was starkly different to the cities you were stuck with in the previous games and you could just offroad/roam. Plus the mountain. Fierro was ok, but somewhere after that it became either silly/over the top, or maybe it's just long in the tooth. By the time you got that far you'd have played for a long time I guess, and it wasn't really that special, tbh. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I didn't like it, mostly because Sweet is a loser and ruins any scene he's in. Should have left him in Los Santos. Also, I don't think there were as many hints at Ryder being a traitor, compared to Big Smoke. I can agree with that. I replayed the game about a month ago and I don't remember it dragging as much as it did during my first playthrough several years ago. It felt like CJ had little reason to be doing a lot of the missions outside of Los Santos. The game also has significantly more missions than the previous two games so they could have been integrated better. --- Spectre of Dark Aether ... Copied to Clipboard!

Returning to Los Santos after doing San Fierro and Las Ventrus does have a bit of a "prodigal son returns" vibe to it though, so while Sweet is hella annoying true, and LS is small time in comparison to our epic exploits, it just feels good to come back after having become a millionaire, owning a mansion, so many guns, a one-man army with so many weapons and bullets I can take down entire territories myself no backup. --- http://i.imgur.com/0UFI0T9.jpg ... One of the things I loved most about San Andreas was the car customization, and how many garages you could have. On one of my first playthroughs, maybe even my original file, I bought every property with a garage and loaded them up with cars that fit the neighborhood. I had low-riders in Los Santos, a pickup truck in the country, fancy cars in San Fierro, etc. I also filled my airplane hangar as full as I could with decked out sports cars. --- Bosses are immune to the eat command so it won't be possible to end the final boss fight of the game by eating it. -VeghEsther ... Aiming/switching targets is worse in this compared to the PS2 version. It has to be. Did they change the car physics in this? Vehicles don't seem to flip over as much but at the price of feeling like they are bolted to the road. Running over people feels different too. They felt easy to plow over and "squishy" etc now it feels like you're trying to run over a statue and more difficult etc. NPC driver aggression seems increased. I can't be imagining this? It also seems like there are less cops chasing you when you have a two star wanted level and above. I did a mission with a 3 star level and had a couple cops on the road at most.......I don't remember the game being like this ... Copied to Clipboard!
