Like dude - a good game is a good game. And the remaster might have taken as much effort to create as the original game did. I see it like buying a Monopoly board game. Like yeah - I've played Monopoly before. But this version is different and better. Do I expect them to charge me half price for new versions of Monopoly? I know they won't. --- All your favorite RPGs: http://www.youtube.com/user/silvosforever http://i996.photobucket.com/albums/af84/silvosforever/funnygif.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

Your monopoly example is more similar to a remake rather then a remaster. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It definitely depends on the remaster because that word can mean a wide range of things. Charging $30 for a port of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance was and is ridiculous, but the Soul Reaver remaster was a higher effort release that warranted a non-budget price tag. --- Currently playing: Tales of the Abyss, Shenmue 2, Pokemon Soul Silver Training log: https://powpowpunishment.blogspot.com ... If it's a full-fledged remake or an HD remaster with effort put into it, people shouldn't complain about pricing. If it's just a simple port with minimal effort, there's a lot of room for skepticism and criticism. The Gex collection is a great example of this. You're paying $30 for two emulators, three ROMs and some concept art/promotional material scans. Outside of 16:9 support there's literally nothing different about the games. --- Thanks for reading! ... Copied to Clipboard!

In the case of FFT, they're removing content that a prior remake had. I'm still getting it because I'm not personally upset about it, but I can see why some are. --- 7800X3D - 7900 XTX - 32GB 6000 - 1440p Ultrawide ... Copied to Clipboard!

Should be worth at least $20 Usually the remaster isn't that big of huge visual improvement and often it's a game from the ps3/ps4... So why buy it new at full price when one can simply buy the game on the original console at a cheaper price? --- https://youtu.be/rSjK2Oqrgic?feature=shared See youtube link, nuff said! ... I'm more upset about remasters replacing the originals. Very often they are destructive to the original artistic direction, especially with "remasters" that are technically remakes because they're rebuilt in a new engine like Unreal. --- http://thecrankyhermit.shoutwiki.com Year-by-year analysis of the finest gaming has to offer, and (eventually) more! ...
