Most ketchup is too sweet for my tastes. Several years back I found a brand that was only lightly sweetened with honey. But they stopped making it shortly after I found the stuff. Before that stuff I just thought "Ketchup is ketchup" and didn't care which one I used. I have finally found a replacement.

This Primal Kitchen stuff tastes fantastic and is only slightly sweet. It's a little pricey for a bottle of ketchup. I still keep the cheap stuff around for everyone else that doesn't mind it.

If you know of another less sweet brand that I should try, go ahead and list it here.

I dunno how people think ketchup is sweet. There's sugar in it, sure, but it all goes into neutralizing how nasty tomatoes are.

I know they make no sugar added ketchup but at this point I just don't really ever use it. Sure loved it as a kid but as an older adult who has been off sugar for years because of type 2 diabetes my palate has really changed and I'm sensitive to sweet stuff now. Like even eating a raw carrot taste like dessert to me because I notice how sweet it taste.

I simply can't do ketchup anymore these days on most things I used to like it with. I use to enjoy it with some meatloaf or even on a burger and definitely with fries but I just got to the point where I basically don't use it. I have 1 single exception. I will put a little bit on my hashbrowns. That is the only thing I use it for these days.

But yeah they have the no sugar added versions of like heinz, hunts, all the normal stuff. It is always in the specialty section where I live along with stuff like gluten free products and what not. It is never in the normal section.

Once you've had Heinz, there's no other kinds!

Ketchup is definitely too sweet. Give me hot sauce instead.
