I decided to watch the first few episodes because why not? I never thought about watching the show before because I guess I was over sitcoms but I kept seeing videos on facebook but man, it almost feels like a lot of character tropes have been subverted, and it's pretty funny. I've gotten several laughs from Jay, Manny, and Phil so far. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Cam and Mitchell because gay humor in sitcoms tend to fall flat and either be too on the nose or mock them but the show handles it well and it's pretty great. I usually don't like the kids in shows either but Manny is hilarious and smart.

Good show. I'm just upset that I missed out on it.

I can't recall how many season there were, I want to say like 12 for some reason. I kind of gave up on it like halfway through. I am sure it was still enjoyable, just kind of lost interest once the kids started to get older.

I was honestly surprised that the baby was a baby in the beginning. I have seen bits and pieces in videos and she was always a little kid in them. I also didn't even know every family was related at first. Then when I found out they were, I thought Phil was Jay's son....

My biggest hurdle as an older person who watched the entire run of Married with Children was seeing Ed O'neill and not associating him with Al Bundy. It took me longer than it should have to see him as someone else and someone who is attracted to his hot wife.

It was easy for me because I honestly was not attracted to Peggy. I do think Katey Segal's pretty, just Peggy was insufferable and I guess the big hair was ugly to me.

Jay's pretty funny, still with some of Al's personality with his cutting words but done differently. Gloria's hot as hell though...so yeah...

I also expected Phil to be a stick in the mud and annoying but he's probably my favorite so far.

We all have our different likes. For me, as a boy, it was her, some scenes from American Beauty, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas....

but Kelly was hot. I wasn't a huge fan of blondes either.

I got as far as season two before I quit, I don't like heartwarming comedies. I want the characters in comedies to suffer like the ones in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Modern Family was fantastic until around when Manny and Luke hit puberty, then it rapidly falls off a cliff into unwatchability.

It's good. Around the halfway point, it drops off a little. Me and my wife got all the way to the episode before last before stopping. I'll probably watch it sometime, but she has zero interest.

I come from all kinds. I love dark comedies but I also like heartwarming and I enjoy shows that go nowhere.

This worries me but I'll get there when I get there. It sounds like I might end up falling off at that point as well but so far I'm enjoying it.

I mean, it's fine throughout. It's not really bad, it just feels a little more generic as it goes along.

I watched for maybe 2 seasons. I liked it. Felt like the Office meets Malcom in the Middle. Dunno why I stopped.
