Yeah I get Mario Kart is big (MK8 is probably my most played game of all time) but I don't buy a console for a MK. My Wii U happened to be the bundle with the DLC that my wife got me and I ran out and bought XCX and Yoshi's Wooly World. Switch was for Animal Crossing and I ran out and got Let's Go Pikachu and XC1 and Mario Odyssey (this was 2020). I see nothing in this lineup like, at all, since having a PS5 means I've played 99% of it. MKW looks fine enough but no reason why people should get so bent out of shape at a console launch.
