The game is hoenstly the closest you will get to Ghibli outside of Ni No Kuni. I cant think of anything else that isnt epic JRPG stuff or cringe anime stuff. There is Attack of the Friday Monsters, but thats delisted. Not exactly JRPGs, but did they ever localize the Boku no Natsu Yasumi games? I think they are My Summer Vacation in the west? If you like mismatched characters interacting, maybe Resonance of Fate. Three main characters who feel like real people, totally different personalities, yet they are friends. Cool setting. And the combat system is so good, even today. I'd also suggest some of the Tales of games like Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Vesperia. I decided to try Field of Mistria on Steam early access--the game is awesome so far...Ioved Stardew Valley, but the art was too "western" for me. I loved Rune Factory 1, but the latest ones the art is too...out there. Fields of Mistria has the early 90s anime look to it, reminds me a lot of anime games on SNES/Genesis like Phantasy Star.
