This happened to me last year. I don't remember how many weeks I couldn't use my laptop, but it was really frustrating. I don't know how I got of it last year. Waited for the battery to drain all the way, which I've been trying to do, but it's hard to know when it's fully drained. This just happened again yesterday. i've tried everything (Ctrl + shift + windows + key and holding down power button for 60 seconds). My Caps and numbers lock key aren't lighting up, but the rest of my laptop is. My last resort is opening up my laptop and I guess taking out the battery, or buying warranty Is this normal nowadays ? I don't even game on my laptop. I think it might be a GPU driver issue. Unless there's some manufacturing defect I don't know about. --- Less is more. Take out the CMOS battery and put it back in, that's forced prior laptops to use integrated graphics instead of (usually faulty) dedicated graphics. --- https://i.imgur.com/TWsfIIj.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

I have a Legion 5 Pro, as it happens. Arcanine2009 posted... How did you know and what did you do? I've had a voltmeter for a few years, so I figured I'd test its readings and compare the results to what the RAM is actually rated for. It turned out one of my RAM modules was drawing .5 volts more than it was supposed to, so I also tested the conductivity of the pins. About six of the pins tested out of spec, so I replaced both RAM modules since I had some spares lying around. Arcanine2009 posted... i don't think I can do it. I don't think I have the right tool. I have small screw drive that fits r, but it's not budging. If my experience with Lenovo laptops at work is any indication, the CMOS battery and its retaining screw are anchored with something like a threadlocker, so removing them is a pain in the tuchus. You can use more force to break the threadlock, but there's always a risk in damaging the motherboard. --- If you treat people as equals, they start to think they ARE your equals. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/1005-warhammer-40k ... honestly I'm done with windows laptops (and PCs I guess). nothing I do requires Windows, not even gaming. apple hardware is well worth the price of admission for what I do.
