I have 6 at the moment, though I dont wear them for my day job. To be honest, I would probably have less of they went so cheap to get tailor made in Hoi An.

Without a jacket, it wouldnt really be a suit, would it?

No problem with you never having needed one, but why would you hope to never need one? Theyre not always for going to funerals or court.

None, never owned one.

Back when I was in the Navy 30 years ago we were on various deployments there were a group of guys that would get custom suits made because of the quality and affordability. I chose not to because I didnt foresee ever needing one and I hate wearing suits and do far at 49 Ive never needed one. I also didnt think Id be the same size when I was older as I was at 18 and that was true too.

But guys on my ship were really happy with the quality and custom fit of suits when we were in the Middle East. Also when we were in Italy, and custom leather shoes was a big thing when we were in Italy as well.

I have just never needed a suit as an adult and have no desire to wear one. Wore them a few times as a kid for certain events like being in a wedding. Couldnt wait to take it off.

Lots of people like getting them tailored in Vietnam, particularly Hoi An, for similar reasons.

Yes, lots of options. Thailand was also a place where a lot of guys got suits made. My only regret that I didnt take advantage of is we had an officer on our ship that was really into Persian rug/carpets that were widely available in areas we were at in the Middle East.

They were the real deal, top quality stuff and he was buying up stuff for like $2,000 that he said would cost him 10 to 20 times that amount in the states. These were absolutely beautiful pieces and in some cases quite large.

i didnt have the appreciation for it at 18 or 19 that I would now.

Same with when we were in Turkey with some of the Turkish wool rugs and some of the other things made. Turkey has some of the best cotton in the world and as an adult Ive had bath towels and dish towels for my kitchen made and shipped from Turkey. I just wasnt as informed back then and Agsin live at 18band 19 I wouldnt have appreciated a dish towel like I do now at 49 haha. I didnt know how good I had it then.

I currently have seven - all custom. Like Iron Man, I playfully refer to them as the Mark I, Mark II, etc.

Mark I (my black wedding tux - this one's permanently retired)
Mark II (electric blue - party time)
Mark III (lighter shade of gray)
Mark IV (tan/champagne 3 piece linen - perfect for those beach weddings)
Mark V (another black tux)
Mark VI (blue pinstripe)
Mark VII (basic black suit)

I am a very komfy and kasual guy. I do not like dressing up and looking sharp. Any event I kould possibly enjoy is immediately made worse by having to wear a suit and I'd be absolutely miserable if I had to work in one.

Yeah, Im not sure why theres a perception that suits are uncomfortable. Obviously if its too hot, they are but thats because of the amount of clothing rather than the nature of it.

Yeah, Im not sure why theres a perception that suits are uncomfortable.

I primarily wear jeans/shorts, t-shirts and tanks. Unless I'm kold and enjoying the warmth of a jacket, long-sleeved stuff feels restrictive. A feeling that gets worse with more layers. Also, shirts tucked in become a visible mess and require re-tucking whenever I raise my arms high enough. So glad I dropped Christianity an no longer dress for chuch. Hope I never need to look for a new job.
