About a month ago, maybe 2 months Amazon offered me a trial of Prime for "only $2.99" when I was about to purchase something, and I said nah fuck that and didn't purchase anything.

Now when I was about to buy something, they straight up offered me a free "30 day trial of Prime" cancel at any time offer. I clicked yes this time, since I can always cancel at the end of the month and they have my card on file anyhow. I was meaning to check out some prime shows anyway, see if they have new standup.

But it's pretty wild because they did the same thing last year and that's literally how I ended up watching that Fallout show with that awesome ella purnell actress. And they've offered these "free trials" with various times ranging from a week, 2 weeks, to a month, every year or so. Just kinda wild.

I suppose they don't really lose much from it these days since they have their own shipping network.

What's truly wild is that you have to pay an additional premium on top of your prime subscription to get prime without ads

They're going to keep making this as bad as possible too

*takes free trial of Prime whenever it pops up*
*immediately cancels Prime*

I've never actually paid for a Prime subscription

Fucking hell I just noticed this. They just made prime completely pointless now since I don't really do shopping ever, maybe once every couple years.

You can just use Firefox with U-block origin and then, tada, no ads.
