This is why I think the Pokedex entries and lore in the games are mainly stories and myths. Reality is any member of the elite 4 can take them one on one at least if not one shot most of them.

But Slugma is also small, so while it certainly would cause damage, that damage would be in a relatively small area. People vastly overestimate how dangerous it would be.

I read a while back that a pinhead as hot as the Sun would devastate an entire region the size of Europe.

Humans in the Pokemon world are just as strong as Pokemon tbh. A regular Black belt trainer has the same stats as a New/Celebi/Jirachi/etc
