A very good QB that's not being drafted? Something about him being too egotistical or teams don't want to deal with his dad or he's getting the Kaepernick treatment? Don't follow the NFL as much as I do basketball

It's the Kaepernick treatment but way more justified. Basically he is trying to call the shots as a guy who hasn't proven shit in the league. Coaches/organizations don't want to deal with it and are sending him a message.

Is that coming from Shadeur or Deion?

Hes a great player but from most teams perspectives probably not good enough for the potential headache to pick him up early. If the rumors are true most of his pre-draft interviews went horribly

Hes been the coachs son for a long time, cant bring that attitude with you to the big leagues

Its kind of crazy though because Mike Green has two sexual assault allegations against him and the cost for that was that he didn't get drafted till the Ravens took him at the end of the second round. But trying to dictate the terms to pro teams as an unproven yet-to-be-drafted guy? Possibly will get him to go completely undrafted.

I dunno. Lavar Ball was a huge detractor to his sons but they ended all being drafted but that's the NBA and Lavar eventually STFU and let his kids do their own thing. Deion is potentially worse than Lavar?

I think being Deions son is finally biting him in the ass for once in his life

Deion even said he wouldnt let certain teams draft Sheuder. Then you go around saying If you ain't trying to change the franchise or the culture, don't get me

Who wants a rookie like that on your team? You gotta figure every time your starter makes a mistake youre gonna have Deion and other people in the media blowing them out of proportion in order to get Shedeur to start even if its not a good idea

Shedeur's interviews were awful.

According to several sources, Sanders failed to impress in his interviews, to put it mildly. One assistant coach put it bluntly saying, "The worst formal interview Ive ever been in in my life. Hes so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates, but the biggest thing is, hes not that good.

Matthew Berry of NBC Sports highlighted two sources on different teams that said that the Colorado quarterback had bad meetings. Berry suggested that Sanders was just having a bad day or trying to throw the interview if it was a team he didn't want to play for.

Vic Tafur pointed out that Raiders minority owner Tom Brady has a strong relationship with Deion and Shedeur. Still, Las Vegas passed on the quarterback at No. 37, No. 48, and No. 58. Tafur translated this as teams having doubts about the quarterback, including several reports from the NFL Combine that his interviews went very poorly.

An AFC executive said about Sanders' interview, "It didn't go great in our interview. He wants to dictate what he's going to do and what's best for him. He makes you feel small."

A lot of the interview centered around what he wanted to do in the offense, and teams seemed to think he was not willing to mold or adapt. Deion Sanders was Shedeur's offensive coordinator in high school, and he's spent the past four years being his head coach, which some view as contributing to Shedeur's reluctance to change his approach.

This isnt kaepernick at all. Only parallel is he was blackballed. Sanders probably deserved it, whereas kaepernick is proving to be correct.

apparently a bad teammate, demanding he only go to certain places, bad interview, and a too involved father. Who would touch those combined red flags? Off to Canada with him.

A) He wasnt that good, its a very shallow QB draft class and all things considered hes not the type of guy you take if you think he has red flags galore.
B) Speaking of red flags, Deion Sanders is a major drama queen and obviously has aspirations to become a head coach in the NFL and force his way into franchise decision-making. Loads of coaches and GMs probably got the impression that Shedeurs dad would try to dictate terms and, if push came to shove, try to get some or all of them fired.
C) The Sanders camp allegedly told some teams that Shedeur wouldnt play for them. The number of teams that need a QB in a shallow draft is limited, so if they nixed a couple teams that mightve eliminated his own demand.
D) Teams do have interest in project and backup QBs, but Sanders clearly is projecting himself as a starter right now, and couple that with B there are obviously teams not interested in a locker room headache from a player they dont have plans to start this season.

That's what Kaepernick's was and this. A blackballing. Totally different reasons but same thing. Like Kaepernick, somebody would have given him a chance by now if there wasn't some sort of agreement to not draft him. He would have gone in the 2nd or 3rd.

Nobody's saying it's political.

Didn't Eli Manning also kinda force his way to playing for a team he actually wanted and told other teams not to pick him?

I'm not saying that Shadeur is that caliber of QB or the circus is worth it or anything like that, but isn't it a bit more common than some are suggesting that players try to dictate where they go?

Trumps reasoning is that "shedeur has great genes because of his dad! Any team that wants to win should take him!"

Bronny has great genes too. Doesn't make him a good athlete.

One specific team, to be precise. San Diego. So they then drafted him anyways.

Beyond no one wanting to deal with his ego + his dads/brothers, he's was just an average college QB, a shit teammate (tore his oline down like every chance he could and blamed them for him trying to make a play out of nothing a lot) and retired his jersey number despite never winning shit (not really his fault there but like who signs off on that lmao).

Game sense wise he had terrible audibles, bad clock management, didn't know when to give up on a play and his best comparison that he got from his own coaching staff was Daniel Jones... he's 100% lucky he had Hunter to bail him out on a lot of plays.

He's just was never 1st round material and reallynone of the qbs this draft would have been 1st round picks in stronger drafts exceptfor maybe ward could go late 1st. That being said no rookie deserves the browns and it's probably the worst situation for him personally as he has no one to sit behind to learn from or a coach to keep him in check on top of playing with a whole team that doesn't even buy into their teams system.
