Unfortunately there's a likelihood of Medicaid going to get some pretry significant cut (under the GOP new budget plan). The impact of this is going to be so devastating.

I agree that MAGAats get what coming to them (many red states actually rely on medicaid); but there still are many decent individuals - who DO NOT at all support trump - that rely on medicaid to survive. It's horrific that they're going to get drag down and have to suffer. I have a family member that's rely on medicaid (we're going to do what we can to support him).

And most of them don't even know it's coming. The news cycle moved on.

Even if the news was covering it 24/7, they would magically not see it until it was already affecting them, then the news would be posting their five paragraph sob story online. "I had no idea... there was no way I could have known. Mr. Trump, please spare my family from the current thing you said you'd do... I voted for you... Like five times... Please... We're good people, we deserve to not have to suffer the way we voted for everyone we don't like to suffer..."

The morons forget that its a pillar of the economy as well. That means less income, less jobs, hospitals closer to closing. Its an economic downward spiral which would make even more people go into medicaid.

Those morons think that's an acceptable loss cause federal jobs aren't real jobs. Anything downstream of DOGE cuts are just the price to pay for freedom or something stupid.

I know someone who's special needs and is on disability. Sadly they contracted AIDS while going through a rough time and there's a real worry that the drugs keeping him alive are going to become unaffordable.

Some might be aware it's coming but are convinced the only ones who will lose anything are fraudsters or other undeserving people (their criteria for who is deserving is based off skin color).

If/when they are affected they will be assured it must have been a mistake and to be patient while Trump personally sorts it out, or they'll be labeled as fake. No matter what happens, they'll blame Democrats for mishandling it and leading to this outcome. They'll believe that even after GOP figureheads very publicly and proudly boast about how they intentionally gutted the program to fund taxes cuts less than 1% of the population can make use of.
