The fact that this even ran on Wii U without being a 15-20FPS mess with ungodly bad pop in is amazing and its noticeably improved here too. Character models look much better, less pop in, higher average resolution, some texture improvements etc. Is it me or is money a lot easier to come by now though? I rememher feeling money starved in the OG earlygame Eh I think the performance is pretty bad. When it's raining for example the frame rate really struggles. There's also random hitches and stutters. To do that, you have to complete the affinity mission called ~~Nine Lives~~, which unlocks after chapter 5. It ~~unlocks your first pet cat. There's one or two I feel like are so close but seem impossible for now. I love all the exploring and figuring out how to get places since I don't really remember anything from the WiiU. I've barely fought anything so far, nor accomplished anything else, but on the bright side, I'm rich! Just to note for those that are new: starting an affinity quest locks you out of all other affinity quests and even main story quests. It is very possible to start an affinity quest that can take you a very long time to finish (Lin....) which might hamper you.
