Private parcel delivery companies go where it is profitable. And a lot of rural areas will not get service. USPS services everyone because of the whole not-for-profit thing. Between having people watching their out-times now on route telling them they must be back by X time, then how she's being forced to deliver huge-ass packages promised by Amazon, and so many other things, she's noticed a burn. It would've paid a lot more than what I'm making now, but I was concerned about the job's long-term security, especially if/when a Republican became President again.
