Also is Shadow Harmony or Astral Voice the best 4 piece for Pulchra? Id have thought SH due to her being an Aftershock character and its what the game suggests, but Prydwen seems to imply AV is the best one since I guess her personal damage doesnt matter much as a stunner?

Well damn even with Pulchra not fully built I brought S Anby, Pulchra and Caesar to DA and got my first 20k+ clear! Got the 6 stars I needed for this DA cycle woo.

Lost to Koleda in 30 pulls but got Trigger less than 20 later. Even with the loss that's my best luck in a long time.

That's also C3 Koleda, so game is continuing to push back against me pulling on a Lighter rerun.

Partly because I don't have many, but I haven't lost a 50/50 yet for S Rank banners, Zhu Yuan, Jane, Burnice and now Trigger I won the flip. Which means it'll probably happen to me for Hugo.

I was doing fairly good at first with not losing the coin flip, but I think as of Evelyn Ive lost it every time now? Sure wouldve been nice to lose it to M0 Neko instead of M2 Rina just for a new character. Id have taken M1 Soldier 11 even

Wonder what the best free W-Engine I can give Trigger is. They gotta add more of those to the game. For now shes gonna take me a little while to build before I can attempt to field her.

Fossil and Steam Engine seems to be the ones to go for. I did wonder whether Andys would be any good for Trigger, but then I also wondered whether Antons would be any good for Sanby and its not just even in consideration.

I should probably try for Trigger, if I can... Not sure I can. I've got nothing for pulls right now.

Man the Burnice/Jane team feels so dead now. Hugo couldnt really hurt me in Shiyu, but he also took like 4mins or more to go down :(

That's just the meta right now, not the characters getting worse. We'll be back in Anomoly meta for Vivian and Burnice/Jane will be back on top for their appropriate types.

So Im using S Anby/Pulchra/Caesar in Lost Void this week since it can level adjust your team to lv60 and man this team is so fun. Is the ideal Aftershock team S Anby, M6 Pulchra & Trigger or would S Anby, Trigger & Caesar be better for some protection?

Surprise 2.0 pre-preview is up! They're clearly saving most of the specifics for the actual 2.0 showcase (confirmed for April 13) but this gives some interesting insights. Most notably:

• 2.0 will add a new central hub area that sounds a lot more integrated with the rest of the game than what we have so far
• Fast travel is changing from a sliding menu to an actual map (thank christ)
• Combat mechanics for both agents and enemies moving forward are going to be introduced to make non-DPS agents feel like they matter/are contributing more (Aftershock is an early example of an agent mechanic, but they also implied enemies moving forward might require you to use more than just a single agent to overcome their mechanics)
• Old agents are confirmed to be receiving balance updates(!!!) - basically sounds like a hard confirm that they're using Lost Void as a testing bed for stuff that could find its way into agent kits

Oh they're just already showing a 2.0 character huh??

I actually never minded it just being a menu you slid between, but sure alright seeing a map would give a bit more depth to the actual world and how everything is laid out and relates to each other

The Lost Void agent gears are one thing, but if they're doing balance tweaking alongside re-evaluation for agent roles, I hope they take another look at Caesar. This might be a hot take but I feel like she's more awkward to slot into teams as they get more specific, and her buffs are good but not that much better than the 4 stars. Mainly, her ult being useless has been a huge problem ever since the decibel rework. And for the love of god please release better A-rank Defense wengines, they are all complete trash while every single Support wengine is busted. Another huge problem as Caesar essentially has no engine passive unless you have her sig!

It's great to hear that the devs are willing to retool things if needed though. I'm constantly surprised at how well-maintained ZZZ is compared to the other big two hoyo games.

Caught up on content! Jesus dude the agent stories have been improving but this patch was a HUGE jump. Anby's was fantastic but Trigger's is straight up worthy of being a main chapter, just absurdly good.

So good in fact that it compelled me to go for the 50/50 on her which... I lost. To M4 Soldier 11. I shit you not, I'm still missing Lycaon and Rina and I don't have a single mindscape on any other standard banner, but my last three 50/50 losses have all been to Soldier 11! I couldn't help but burst out laughing, it's too absurd.

I don't especially mind since this means Vivian is an easy lock and I'll still have uh, probably a 50/50 shot at Hugo. Next patch is definitely when I finally pay for all my avarice.

Now I gotta decide if I want to risk spending some of my saved up polychrome for Vivian, I got so lucky with Trigger but not sure if I can pull it off again. Up to 19k saved up but I should also be trying for Lighter too along with Hugo, hmm

You should definitely just save to make sure you can get Hugo and spend whatever you have left on Lighter. On average it's like ~100 pulls (16k polychrome) to get a limited agent but with bad luck it can take around 160 which is 25k. Always better safe than sorry! Between now and end of next patch when Hugo banner leaves that's probably around +100 pulls which means you can easily get him by saving.

Can maybe risk a 50/50 of Vivian but then you could be giving up Lighter. But you do have Trigger and I assume Lycaon and that's probably pretty good for Hugo still.

Yea Lycaon is my main so that's why I'm really wanting Hugo. Watching some of the livestream, Vivian's gameplay looks a little underwhelming so yea I'm most likely gonna skip her now and just keep saving for Hugo and whatever remaining after that maybe put towards Lighter as another team option

Hey the livestream redemption code gives 300 polychrome! The code is "Mockingbird" if it wasn't going to be obvious enough, plus there's gonna be all the new events that give polychrome

Sure, but if 90 pulls cost 144k and there's a new banner every month and a half or so, it seems hard to make up the deficit. Every so often we have these events that give away 10 tapes, and there's some number of polychromes from new story and sidequests, as well as daily and weekly things, and Shiyu and Deadly Assault if you can do them. But the rate of gaining is much slower than the rate of using until you are done with the current banner.

Without amazing luck you wont every new character without spending on their first run. People will definitely have to be making some choices if theyre interested in 1.7 and the first version 2 banner/s.

Well, I feel ever so slightly better about missing Trigger seeing that Vivian and Hugo both look as outstanding as I'd hope! Double stun comps with Hugo is WILD.

Next patch looks solid but definitely a wind-down content wise with lots of event reruns/revisions as we get ready for 2.0 which'll surely be explosive. Legit very excited for the story this time around after the build-up we had in this patch, though!

It's pretty common for people to go entire patches without pulling in hoyo games to ensure specific characters they want. ZZZ has been pretty consistently giving 100 pulls per patch which just so happens to be the average it takes for a featured 5*. It's still not guaranteed, but MHY's strategy is to drip feed enough F2P pulls so lucky players get one limited per patch and unlucky ones spend money. So as F2P the counter-strategy is not to pull on every banner, but you can try for your one limited and bank polychrome by skipping or winning 50/50s.

Like this patch I threw 50 or 60 pulls at Anby but didn't get her or an early 5 star so I stopped. So those were effectively Vivian pulls and all my 1.6 pull income is going to 1.7.

Yea I don't care about getting every character so it works out for me, I wasn't even gonna pull for Trigger but I figured I had enough until Hugo to spend a few and I got insanely lucky in not needing to spend any polychrome for her. Same for Burnice when she had her rerun, I did one 10 pull just because and ended up getting her.

Lots of different body types in that video, but Im not sure on if I want any of them. Hoyo so rarely does short hair :( Every single new girl shown had quite long hair. You can basically bet the two thiren dudes are A class and probably safe to say at least 6/7 of the girls shown are S class. No sign of the idols so they must not play an important story role right away

Who are you using? Trigger's a stunner, not a dps, so not really comparable to S0 Anby

That is a devastating group of characters, I may have to see skip Vivian afterall.

Obol Squad doesnt have designs that go together too well like most of the other squads. 11 and Trigger are styled similarly, but the chimera girl and robot are very different looking.
