remember how preposterous that seemed

nobody's gonna let some crazy egotistical guy with a funny voice just waltz in to a major national financial institution with a group of armed thugs and start plugging in shit and funneling funds out for who knows what, and get away with it, right?

right?

TDKR was an amazingly bad movie considering it was a follow-up to TDK which was incredible.

Its amazing to me how Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are two of the toppest tier movies ever made, and then somehow they managed fumble the third one. Such a damn shame.

Ironically, the same can be said about Arkham Knight compared to Asylum and City.

True but in a vacuum it's still a fun flick

It's just that Begins and TDK were so good.

Kinda like the movie version of Mass Effect Andromeda

Nah, ME3 is an adequate comparison. Watered down and more "bombastic" trying to appeal to more people, but still pretty good. Andromeda is more like Batman and Robin, there's some fun to be had, but its mostly dumb.

That's what would have happened. Trades aren't instant even after they're finalized. They have to be cleared by various clearing houses. The clearing houses could have simply refused to actually clear them. You can say "well hijack the clearing houses too" except now you're talking about what's essentially a coup in multiple countries at once and if you had that kind of power you wouldn't be doing some obnoxious shit like this in the first place. You could just freeze all of Wayne's assets.

I'm sure Heath Ledger dying screwed up their original plans for the third. The League of Shadows returning was probably always a factor because Talia is brought up in the special features of the Batman Begins dvd, but the Joker certainly would've been involved in the story too if Heath hadn't passed.

We tend to be more forgiving with strains on the suspension of disbelief if we aren't watching something bad.
