People always cite this as an overly absurd and unnecessarily edgy line, but I really don't see the issue with it. Yeah, maybe the actual delivery of it was silly, but Shadow isn't saying that he's fine with "taking candy from babies." He's saying "this situation that I am in feels too easy, not that I'm complaining."

its easy to see it as intended seperated from the game
but can you really blame anyone playing the game for taking it as they did lmao

I honestly didn't think anything of it when I first played and didn't know it was thought of as edgy until later. But I never fell into the bandwagon of people making fun of it back then. I just embraced the game for what it was. Shadow was always meant to be an unapologetically edgy version of Sonic, even in SA2. Adding guns and motorcycles was admittedly silly, but there was precedent for it with the character.

Also, it was pretty insane of them to give the game hundreds of different endings and give each of them a completely unique name.
