chaos_knight posted... If true, it makes all life ultimately meaningless in the end. You'll permanently blink out of existence and everything you experienced or achieved was pointless. This is how I felt after my sister passed. I searched for other things. Some were just silly. Soul contracts was one. You live multiple lives with the same group of people. When you die you are in a purgatory till everyone is ready to start again. I met people before where I felt I knew them but never met them before or How both my friends lives were intertwined with out ever meeting over 40 years. When they met set in motion events that led to the end of their lives. I'm still open to it. Theres enough there to say maybe. --- I was born when she kissed me. I died when she left me. Not to sound like a dick, but I don't really think anyone or anything deserves to last forever. Life can be difficult and unpleasant, so the fear that this is it is understandable. The hope for something more is sometimes all that keeps someone going. But for me, eternal rest after a lifetime of hardship actually sounds kind of nice. Of course I'll miss my loved ones, but that's why it's important to treat the people we love well while we still have them. Also the idea of existing for eternity seems horrible to me. I've always found the idea of heaven just as terrifying as hell. That there's a god who permits never-ending suffering and allows atrocities to be committed in their name, and now you're going to remain in their domain, praising and worshipping them forever? I do not believe that being selected to reside in their "paradise" for being faithful is worth the cost of admission. Any god that might exist is either negligent or malicious, and therefore not worthy of worship. Again, without sounding too pessimistic, I wholeheartedly believe oblivion is the only appropriate end for humanity. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yes. Death will be what it was before I was born. Nothing. Just gone. I'm strong enough to live with the truth. I don't need fairy tales to make me not afraid. I have just this life and it's on me to make it one worth living. --- It's not a war crime the first time. ... Copied to Clipboard!

This doesn't make sense. Life can be whatever you want it to be. You're living your life right now, doing things that are important to you. Meaning is in the eye of the beholder. It's an afterlife that would make life meaningless. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Metal_Gear_Raxis posted... Nope, when I die I'm getting isekaied and I'll get my harem, dammit! This is my hope. But failing that, I do hope there is some pleasant after life that's better than here where people will get a second chance with their departed friends, loved ones, and pets. I used to be strongly against the idea of an after life being real, but these days life itself feels so unreal that not much would surprise me. --- Cuteness is justice! It's the law. ...
